CABLE ADVISORY COMMITTEE MINUTES
MEETING NUMBER 200
HCTV Studio March 12, 2008
800 Main Street 7:00 P.M.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Hank Ouellette, Larry Popple, Patt Popple, Duffy Tilson.
ALSO PRESENT: Johnny Suire, Public Access Director
1. The Minutes of Meeting #199, January 9, 2008, were accepted.
2. Control Room/Studio Upgrade: The AdTech work is now complete except for the camera tally lights.
3. Editing Suites Remodeling: Holden DPW will remove the walls when their time allows.
4. Surplus Equipment: AdTech is evaluating the equipment replaced by the studio/control room upgrade to determine if is suitable for reuse
5. WRHS wiring: When construction for the new/renovated high school began, the cable wires were cut back to the street pole. They have not been reconnected Johnny has been trying to coordinate the reconnect with Charter, but it could not be done in time for the Special Town Meeting on Monday, March 10th. He is aiming for a reconnect by the May Town Meeting. Since the Charter van camera cables will no longer reach the auditorium (there is a new building in the way) Johnny set up a multi-camera hardware package for Monday and recorded the meeting. Playback began as soon as the meeting ended and the tape got to the studio. Committee members were pleased with Johnny’s efforts to resolve the cable reconnect and getting the special meeting on
the air promptly.
6. Johnny’s Miscellaneous:
a. The Finance Committee will be reviewing the 2008 Cable budget on Wednesday, March 26th at the Senior Center.

f. We discussed equipping the Black Box Theatre at WRHS with our surplus equipment. It will require an investment to integrate and add to the components. Guestimate of cost: $10,000-20,000. This will be an ongoing discussion.
g. All equipment is back from repair and is up to working standards.
